Regional Campaign Sales Lead: Midwest

Grassroots Analytics Campaigns (GAC) seeks an ambitious sales professional to join our campaign sales team and lead client acquisition in the Midwest. Grassroots Analytics Campaigns (GAC) is organized into three teams: Sales, Campaign Strategy, and Digital. The Sales team collaboratively prospects campaigns and organizations, creates and executes marketing and sales plans and strategies, and onboards new clients running for all levels of office nationwide.

The regional campaign sales leads are each responsible for an assigned region in the United States and facilitates the marketing and sales process of acquiring and onboarding new clients in that region. The regional campaign sales lead will report to the Director of Campaign Sales.

Large clients include Democratic political campaigns, progressive non-profits, ESG funds, and socially-responsible businesses.

Since 2017, Grassroots Analytics Campaigns has connected thousands of candidates to their best donor prospects by providing call time lists, email acquisition, mobile fundraising lists, digital targeting universes, and fundraising strategy consulting using algorithmic analysis.

Grassroots Analytics is committed to an in-person office environment in Washington, DC at the company's headquarters (700 K St. NW).


  • Lead marketer for region of ten to sixteen states
  • Research, reach out to, and develop relationships with campaigns, campaign staff, digital firms, political consultants, and organizations in their region
  • Use a variety of sales methods, including drip campaigns, cold calls, meetings, one-pagers, case studies, and demos of data to pitch and close deals
  • Utilize HubSpot CRM to keep track of communication, contacts, companies, deals, leads, etc.
  • Curate lists of targets – including city, state legislature, statewide, congressional, senate, and other elections – within region
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients
  • Learn how to use GA data with STATA to make demos for clients, and understand the product that they’re selling (Sales Leads will be trained by GAC technical staff)
  • Have worked on a campaign in a finance or management capacity (finance director or assistant, call time manager, campaign or deputy campaign manager, field staff) for at least one cycle
  • Have experience in a customer service role
  • Be outgoing and comfortable with cold calls and other sales outreach methods
  • Be willing to spend some time at the beginning of the job learning about the GA database and algorithm – no coding or data experience necessary, just a willingness to learn!
  • Be in tune with current and upcoming political campaigns, especially congressional races, in their states/region
  • Possess progressive values; appreciate and understand the role data can play in the campaign fundraising space
  • Feel excitement about the role GAC plays in democratizing campaign fundraising
  • Willing to work in-office from GA headquarters in Washington, DC

Salary range for this position is $38,000, plus commission benefits. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in Mount Vernon Square at 700 K Street in Washington, D.C.

We offer 33 days of PTO + two days for every year with GA; 10 federal holidays; and full office closure between Christmas and New Years.
