About Grassroots Analytics

Grassroots Analytics operates a high-end consumer database of left-leaning Americans. We lead our industry in quality contact information, political preference analysis, biographical details, and net worth data.

Founded in 2017, Grassroots Analytics began as a political data company. By 2019, Grassroots Analytics held a majority political data market share, and began exploring other consumer data markets. Grassroots Analytics now jointly owns and operates several innovative consumer data companies.

Danny Hogenkamp

Chairman of the Board

Danny has served as CEO and Chairman of Grassroots Analytics since 2020. He manages GA's industry leading progressive consumer database and oversees GA's numerous investments. Previously, Danny founded Grassroots Analytics Campaigns in 2016, and provided data-driven strategy to hundreds of Democratic campaigns, multiple Presidential campaigns, and more than 50 members of Congress.

Sarah Elizabeth Pole

Board Secretary & Treasurer

Sarah Elizabeth serves as Grassroots Analytics'  Director of Marketing and Communications, in addition to her board roles. She joined GA in early 2018, when it was still somewhat in its infancy; she has enjoyed not only watching GA thrive, but takes pride in having been a part of that growth from the early onset. As someone who spent her formative years in red states, Sarah Elizabeth believes strongly in the importance of representative government, and looks forward to seeing GA continue to aid in making that a reality. A graduate of UVA's McIntire School of Commerce, Sarah Elizabeth believes that a small team is all that's necessary to be a strong catalyst for change.

Akilah Ensley

Board Member

Akilah R. Ensley is a dedicated political strategist, community organizer, and fundraiser. She has experience in building coalitions, program development, and community and political engagement. She is the Founder and CEO of Invictus Strategy Group, a consulting entity that works to build resource development, fundraising, and strategic development for campaigns, nonprofits, and small businesses. Most recently, ISG worked hand in hand with several US Senate & Congressional candidates as well as organizations during the 2020 cycle, raising over $12 million in funds to move their campaigns forward. She also worked as Finance Director for Mayor Andrew Gillum’s Florida Gubernatorial Campaign for the 2018 midterm elections. In previous years she worked as Deputy Field Director for Project Vote and Program Manager for the Everybody Votes Campaign. In years past she has worked on numerous campaigns including Kay Hagan for US Senate, President Obama’s 2012 Presidential Campaign, Regional Field Director for Erskine Bowles for US Senate. Prior to that, she held several community engagement roles as Partnership Specialist for the United States Census Bureau, Principal Consultant for ERA Management and Consulting, LLC, and Executive Director of the Pitt County Substance Abuse Coalition. Akilah also served as the Deputy Director of Major Gifts for the Truman National Security Project and Center for National Policy and has fundraised for both political candidates and nonprofits. She is currently an At-Large member of the Democratic National Committee and is an active member of the Women’s Leadership Forum. Finally, she serves on the Planned Parenthood South Atlantic Board and founded the New Leaders Council Chapter in North Carolina.

Zach Krasner

Board Member

Raised in the mountains of central Vermont, Zach grew up with a strong passion for understanding and building technology. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, he began a career at Bridgewater Associates implementing a platform for the world's biggest investors to achieve their investment goals. He's excited to help Grassroots Analytics grow into the future.

Joey Mamlin

Board Member

Having joined GA in 2018, Joey serves as Technical Director for GA Parent Company, Fundraising Strategist for GA Campaigns, and sits on the board. As a proud Ohioan, Joey is eager to assist in the effort of turning districts blue across all levels of government in the great Midwest. He has advised dozens of Red to Blue campaigns with GAC since 2018, and looks forward to flipping more seats in the upcoming cycle. Joey has particular expertise in helping campaigns responsibly build email programs, and making innovative call time lists.

Meghan McAnespie

Board Member

Meghan serves at the Digital Director for Grassroots Analytics Campaigns. Meghan joins Grassroots Analytics following digital strategy and training roles at Washington D.C based digital firms. She has spearheaded digital strategy for Democratic candidates across the country and up and down the ballot. Her specialty has been digital fundraising for top Red to Blue Congressional races. Previously, Meghan was a Field Organizer in Ohio for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign. She graduated from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C and is a Lowell, Massachusetts native.

 

Sarah Elizabeth Pole

Board Member; Secretary & Treasurer

As someone who has lived only in red and purple states, Sarah Elizabeth believes strongly in the importance of representative government. It is this that drives Sarah Elizabeth to encourage progressive candidates to run up and down the ballot. She looks forward to seeing more women and minorities win each cycle, and hopes GA will continue to help make that a reality.

Scott Steever

Board Member

Scott joins the board as an avid supporter of cause-driven investing and believes in the power granted back to society through the access and democratization of investing. His background lies in healthcare, from working with physicians and hospitals as a sales manager at Smith & Nephew to his current role as a Healthcare Specialist within J.P. Morgan's Investment Bank.

Kate Barton

Board Member

Kate serves as a Fundraising Strategist with GA Campaigns and sits on the board. Prior to joining the Grassroots team, Kate held the role of Finance Director with John Blair for Congress in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Previously, she worked on the finance team for Representative Katie Porter's inaugural 2018 congressional campaign and got her start in campaigns organizing with Hillary for America in 2016.

Joey Mamlin

Bryant Sanders

Board Member

Bryant serves as Director and Co-founder of Grassroots Analytics Non-Profit (GANP) where he oversees all aspects of the business. Prior to starting GANP, he had a long tenure in the nonprofit and government sectors. Most recently he served as the Deputy Director of Development, Voter Participation Center (VPC) and Center for Voter Information (CVI).

Prior to joining VPC and CVI, he served as Corporate and Foundations Gifts Manager at LGBTQ Victory Institute and LGBTQ Victory Fund. While there, he helped build and expand the institutional funding sources, as well brought in strategic partnerships to support the organization’s programs that create a pipeline of LGBTQ leaders to serve in public office. In addition, Bryant worked for DC Central Kitchen and the National Farm to School Network, where he developed and diversified their funding streams, as well as managed major donor relationships for these national grassroots organizations.

However, his journey to DC and public service started with United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) doing outreach and constituent affairs for New York state residents before transitioning into the development world.

Bryant considers upstate NY his home, having attended Wells College, a small private institution that sits right by the Cayuga Lake. When Bryant isn’t working you can find him swing dancing around DC, catching a kickball, or throwing a frisbee with friends.

Ryan Dunn

Director of Operations

Hailing from Minnesota, Ryan brings diverse experience to the Grassroots Analytics team. With time spent working in Senator Klobuchar’s office, healthcare consulting, and on campaigns, he’s ready to put this experience to work helping improve fundraising capabilities for all progressive causes.

Emily McFadyen

Deputy Director of Operations

Emily joined the Grassroots team while studying international affairs at George Washington University. Hailing from Chicago, she brings her experience working with Representative Quigley’s office to the team. She is passionate about social justice education and is excited about the work Grassroots Analytics does to elect more diverse and progressive candidates.

Destiny Guzmán

Deputy Technical Director

Before joining Grassroots, Destiny served as the Call Time Manager and Campaign Coordinator on Moe Brown’s Campaign for Congress. She specializes in formulating fundraising strategies for first-time candidates, curating fine-tuned donor universes, and has insight into successful fundraising approaches during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is eager to merge her passions of campaign finance, research, advocacy, and data science to empower candidates and organizations who value people and communities first.

Carla Darrow

Human Resources Manager

Carla is a native of Ecuador who has had an interest in politics from a young age due to her father’s political career. Having participated in elections and holding a job with the state government by the age of 20 she gained early experience in the field of politics.

Carla emigrated to Chicago in 2012 and then moved to Washington DC in 2017.  She spent her first 6 years in the United States working in the legal field which has taught her to work with dynamic personalities in high pace environments. Carla joined Grassroots Analytics as the Human Resources Manager where she uses the diversity of her experiences to develop internal policies and assist in creating a positive culture and work environment.
