Nez transformed Arizona’s deep-red AZ-02 into
a competitive battleground. In partnership with

over $5 million, outraising his opponent, and
narrowing the gap in a district rated R+14 —

The Impact

Using GA texting, in combination with GA STAMP fundraising mail, GA Fundraising Premier, and GA email acquisition, the campaign was able to run a historic campaign with Nez coming incredibly close to winning an R+7 district and raising over $5 million dollars — most just six months before Election Day. Building a movement of engaged donors who care about the candidate and the cause proved to be a winning strategy for rising above initial fundraising challenges. Nez broke numerous fundraising records, registered an incredible number of Native American voters, and broke through with an inspiring movement.

Fundraising victories sparked headlines, and by August 2024, Jonathan Nez for Congress was one of the top ActBlue fundraisers. This fundraising momentum reshaped the race: when Nez launched his campaign in 2023, he was projected to be a long shot, down by 14 points, and not considered a viable contender. However, his grassroots-powered surge — fueled by GA’s data and fundraising strategies — helped Nez outraise his opponent by $1 million in Q3 of 2024 and earn recognition as a top ActBlue raiser and a DCCC potential red-to-blue flip.
