WASHINGTON, DC: Grassroots Analytics announced today that Chief Innovation Officer Meghan McAnespie will take up the mantle of CEO, following a unanimous vote by the Grassroots Analytics Board of Directors. Meghan succeeds Grassroots Analytics’ Founder, Danny Hogenkamp, who will serve as Chairman of the Board.
Meghan joined Grassroots Analytics in 2021 and immediately set to work breaking down barriers to running for office and helping progressives win important fights. She started as a digital expert at Grassroots Analytics, founding the innovative Digital Lab. Since 2022, Meghan has served as Chief Innovation Officer, where she furthers Grassroots Analytics’ insistence on doing what’s never been done before – from data to team-building to product development.
“Grassroots Analytics exists because a 22-year-old call time manager looked at ‘the way things are’ and believed there had to be a better way,” said Meghan. “Now, almost 10 years later, we’ve proven that to truly do great things, you cannot settle for what you are already great at. Instead, if you care deeply, work hard, and have the audacity to try, there is no limit to how far you can go at Grassroots Analytics – and I am so excited to lead this team of caring, hardworking risk-takers. The problems that abound in this industry run deep, but I know that by taking on the hardest of problems others shy away from, we will succeed in helping to create the world we all want to live in.”
Danny Hogenkamp, Founder and outgoing CEO, started Grassroots Analytics in 2017 in an effort to break down the barriers to fundraising for progressive candidates. Under Danny’s leadership, the company has continuously expanded its wide array of fundraising solutions for both campaigns and nonprofits. He oversaw innovation, the evolution of exceptional customer service and product dependability, and a Grassroots Analytics staff and community that began in the single digits and now sits in the seventies.
"I believe deeply in passing the torch to the next generation. Meghan is a hustler who has been critical to much of our modern progressive fundraising tech,” said Danny. “Meghan is ready to lead."
The whole team is in agreement: Meghan is ready to lead Grassroots Analytics, and the company is excited for the next era of progressive technology innovation that she will bring: one that is rooted in the company’s history of customer value, comprehensive fundraising, and data-driven results, and that takes Grassroots Analytics’ commitment to forward thinking to new heights.
